Description
The Bison 60" Polycarbonate T-Rex Sport Portable Basketball System swaps in a clear, unbreakable 60 inch by 36 inch polycarbonate backboard on Bison's T-Rex Sport platform, giving gyms and rec programs glass-like rebound without the breakage risk of a glass panel.
Like the rest of the T-Rex Sport line, it runs on a spring-assisted counterbalance base that lets staff adjust rim height from 10 feet down to 7 feet 6 inches without rolling the unit out of play position, keeping setup fast between practices, camps, and games.
The padded 42 inch wide by 51 inch long base carries 660 pounds of ballast in a rear enclosed box for a 1,510 pound total system weight, delivering a 50 inch safe play area at 10 feet and 46 inches at 8 feet, with the BA32 breakaway rim built to handle daily contact at the rim.
It ships at approximately 850 pounds and folds to 62 inches wide by 112 inches long by 76 inches high when it's time to store it out of the way.
Deciding between a glass and polycarbonate T-Rex Sport backboard often comes down to a program's maintenance priorities and budget, and that's the kind of configuration question American Super Sports helps schools, rec centers, and club programs work through every week, drawing on years spent in this category of commercial basketball equipment.
Bison manufactures the T-Rex Sport, polycarbonate backboard included, in the USA at its Lincoln, Nebraska plant.
