Description
The Bison Glass T-REX Coastal Portable Basketball System is the truly outdoor-durable member of the T-Rex family, built for parks departments, schools, and municipalities in humid, salt-spray environments along the coast where ordinary steel equipment corrodes fast.
Bison hot-dip galvanizes every primary steel component for corrosion resistance, then pairs that frame with a 72 inch by 42 inch glass backboard so beachfront and waterfront programs still get true game-day rebound rather than settling for a lesser panel.
Base padding is a 1 inch thick dense polyethylene foam that won't absorb moisture, adhered to a non-wood backing and covered in 14 ounce vinyl with the color specified at order time, standing up to salt air far better than the materials used on Bison's indoor T-Rex systems.
The padded 40 inch wide by 65 inch long base carries 950 pounds of ballast for a 1,700 pound total system weight, producing a 54 inch safe play area at 10 feet that narrows as the rim is lowered, with the BA35S breakaway rim and 4 inch square beam completing the system.
It folds to 76 inches wide by 124 inches long by 78 inches high for storage, and it ships heavy enough that unloading requires a forklift or loading dock.
Specifying coastal-grade equipment correctly matters more than usual in these harsh environments, and American Super Sports' experience with this category of commercial outdoor basketball equipment helps parks departments, schools, and municipalities choose the right configuration and finish before the order goes in.
Like the rest of the T-Rex line, it's manufactured in the USA at Bison's plant in Lincoln, Nebraska.
