Description
The Bison Polycarbonate T-REX Coastal Portable Basketball System brings Bison's outdoor-durable T-Rex Coastal platform to parks departments, schools, and coastal municipalities that want extra impact resistance in place of glass.
Every primary steel component is hot-dip galvanized for corrosion resistance in the same harsh, humid, salt-spray environments the glass version is built for, and the 72 inch by 42 inch unbreakable polycarbonate backboard trades a measure of glass rebound for added durability near the water.
Base padding is a 1 inch thick dense polyethylene foam that won't absorb moisture, adhered to a non-wood backing and covered in 14 ounce vinyl with the color specified at order time.
The padded 40 inch wide by 65 inch long base carries 950 pounds of ballast for a 1,700 pound total system weight, giving a 54 inch safe play area at 10 feet that narrows as the rim comes down, with the BA35S breakaway rim and 4 inch square beam completing the setup.
It folds to 76 inches wide by 124 inches long by 78 inches high for storage, and because of its shipping weight, unloading requires a forklift or loading dock.
Choosing between the glass and polycarbonate coastal T-Rex, and getting the base padding color right for a facility, is the kind of decision American Super Sports helps parks departments, schools, and municipal buyers make, backed by years of experience with this category of commercial coastal-grade equipment.
This system, like every T-Rex, is made in the USA at Bison's Lincoln, Nebraska plant.
