Description

The Ironclad Triple Threat TPT664-XL Adjustable Basketball System is the goal for families who are done dreaming about a backyard court and ready to build one. Ironclad designed it for anyone planning a regulation full court or half court, and it delivers: a 6 inch by 6 inch one-piece pole, a 48 inch offset and a 42 inch by 60 inch tempered glass backboard that plays like it came straight out of the gym.

The pole is one-piece 7 gauge square steel, solid even under heavy slam dunk action, and the 1/2 inch thick tempered glass backboard gives the lively rebound competition boards are known for. With 48 inches from the backboard to the pole, there is plenty of room to play underneath the basket and less chance of anyone running into the post on a fast break.

Spring-Assist Adjustment From 5.5 to 10 Feet

Here is the part the kids will love: the TPT664-XL adjusts from regulation 10 feet all the way down to 5.5 feet, the lowest adjustment height Ironclad offers. A spring-assist crank carries the weight of the backboard, so it cranks up as easily as it cranks down, and the rim height indicator shows the exact height. The breakaway rim and net give under a hanging player and return to position on release.

Pads and Anchor Kit Come Standard

Ironclad includes both the post pad and the backboard pad in the price of the TPT664-XL, so your court is padded the way Ironclad intends without a separate padding purchase. The anchor kit is also included with every new TPT664-XL, so the padding and mounting hardware are both covered.

Built for Outdoor Life

Ironclad Weather Shield protection starts with a zinc galvanized undercoat and finishes with black powder coat paint, and stainless steel assembly bolts hold it all together. The bolt-down anchor design makes installation easy and lets the goal move with you if you relocate.

The Ironclad Lifetime Warranty

Take a minute to read the Ironclad Sports lifetime warranty on the Warranty tab; it is one of the best reasons to choose this goal. It covers damage caused by any basketball related activity, including dunking and hanging on the rim. Coverage is for the original owner, is not transferable, and applies to units installed at a single family home, so the TPT664-XL is a residential goal that is not warrantied for commercial use. Painted items have a one year limited warranty on the coating, padding has a one year limited warranty, and vandalism, extreme weather and normal weathering or UV wear are excluded.

TPT664-XL Questions and Answers

Is the TPT664-XL big enough for a backyard court? Yes. Ironclad sizes it for regulation full court and half court play, and its FAQ recommends 60 inch or 72 inch wide backboards for three car driveways and dedicated backyard courts.

How low does the rim go for young players? All the way down to 5.5 feet, and the spring-assist crank makes moving it back up to 10 feet just as easy.

What is Weather Shield? It is Ironclad's rust protection: a zinc galvanized undercoat beneath the black powder coat finish.

Planning for the regulation 72 inch backboard instead? Look at the Ironclad Triple Threat TPT684-XXL and TPT885-XXL. Replacement parts for the TPT664-XL, including the TPT-XL backboard, TPT-32 flex rim, CRKACT-4 crank actuator, SPRCYLDR spring assist and BB66-PP pole pad, are also available.
