The Ironclad Gamechanger GC66-XXL Adjustable Basketball System puts a regulation sized 42 inch by 72 inch glass backboard on your driveway or backyard slab. If your kids dream of shooting on the same size backboard used in high school, college and the pros, this is the goal that makes it happen at home.

Underneath that big board is a one-piece 6 inch by 6 inch, 11 gauge square steel post, and a 36 inch offset between the post and the backboard to keep the action in front of the pole. The backboard is 5/16 inch thick tempered glass with aluminum trim, giving true, authentic rebounds on every shot off the glass.

Adjustable From 7.5 to 10 Feet

The all-steel crank actuator lowers the rim to 7.5 feet for younger players and raises it to 10 feet for full height games, and the rim height indicator shows the setting at a glance. A breakaway rim and net are included and flex under a hanging player.

Padding and Anchor Kit Are Part of the Package

With the GC66-XXL, Ironclad includes the post pad and pre-installs the backboard pad, so the goal arrives ready to keep players protected without a separate padding order. An anchor kit for mounting the goal is included with every new GC66-XXL, too.

It covers damage caused by basketball related activity, and Ironclad specifies that Gamechanger models, the GC66-XXL included, are warrantied against dunking only. Coverage is for the original owner only, is non-transferable, and applies to units installed at a residential location defined as a single family dwelling, which means this goal is meant for home use and is not warrantied for commercial use. The coating on painted items and the padding each carry a one year limited warranty; vandalism, extreme weather incidents and normal weathering or UV wear are not covered.

Is 42 by 72 inches really regulation size? Yes. Ironclad notes that high school, college, university and professional games are all played on a 42 inch tall by 72 inch wide backboard.

Where does a 72 inch board fit best? Ironclad recommends 60 inch or 72 inch backboards for three car driveways and dedicated backyard courts.

How much clearance should I leave behind the post? Ironclad suggests 18 inches between the back of the post and any wall so the crank is comfortable to turn.
